The Bank Holiday saw us in Germany for our Rhineland tour, despite a promising forecast it proved to be a little disappointing weather wise. However, whatever the weather the Rhine and Mosel valley's always work their charm and the combination of roads, and Fairy Tale scenery never cease to please. It was good to return to old haunts, especially the Cochem Wine festival and its fantastic firework display.

We had our usual visit to the Nurburgring, where two or three riders(one of whom is a Grandmother ! )  took on the challenge and went round in a respectable 13 minutes. Unfortunately on the way back to the hotel the heavens opened and someone took a low speed fall resulting in him having to spend a night in hospital having broken several ribs, I am pleased to say that he returned home the next day thanks to his Gold Cover Insurance and is fine if a little sore. Accidents are rare, but once again prove how important it is to have travel insurance cover.

We head out of the house tomorrow for the Croatia tour, followed shortly by the Spain and Portugal tour leaving just the GP & Social weekend left. We have quite a few bookings for this and several people said they wished to come. If so, can you send in a booking form a soon as possible it will help me to give the hotel final figures. The weekend will be very relaxed, with an informal discussion on using GPS and ride-outs for those that wish. Also, we will be able to bring you the latest news on next years tours which we are presently in the process of organising.
