This is a Guided Tour

Guided Tours are our specialty; led by our local guide you have no need of maps or directions.

Relax and enjoy the views, safe in the knowledge that you are seeing the best scenery, visiting the right places and riding some superb biking roads.

Many people are apprehensive about riding in a group; however we use a simple drop off system which allows people to ride at their own pace.

All our tours are at an easy relaxed pace catering for riders of all abilities.

There are frequent stops for fuel, coffee or just to stretch your legs.

Mainly in the UK this is a great introduction to motorcycle touring holidays.

A 6-night Special - we ride some of the best roads in Northumberland, the Scottish Borders and National Parks of Northern England

Our weekend tours have always proved popular - however, many of our customers say they are not long enough!  So, using some of our favourite hotels, we have put together a 6 night Guided Tour during which you will get to see some of most scenic countryside, and ride many of the best biking roads in the North of England and Scottish Borders.

Your guides for this this tour will be Alison & Roy Adams. We first met Alison & Roy many years ago when they came on tour from their home in Norfolk. In 2004 they moved to the beautiful Scottish Borders and started a motorcycle training school which they run to this day. Having helped us in the past, and having an intimate knowledge of the area, they have kindly agreed to run the tour for us. Both Roy and Alison are in their 50's, advanced riders and were IAM observers. Roy presently rides a Honda Pan ST1100 and Alison a Honda CBF1000.

Tour Format

Northumberland
Borders
Windemere

Day 1: Monday 30th July Today, you should make your own way to your first night's stop, a stylish 4 Star Country House Hotel in the midst of the Northumberland National Park.  You should arrive in time for a get-to-know-you drink with your guides and fellow riders, before enjoying a group evening meal.  With the tour starting Monday, there is the opportunity to take the whole weekend to meander your way up to this lovely part of the world, calling in at such places as York, Durham or perhaps the lure of the undulating A68 will be too good to miss - after all, it is on your way!

Day 2: Tuesday 31st July Today sees us leave our overnight stay to ride some of the great roads of the area.  However, no tour in Northumberland would be complete without first visiting the beautiful Northumberland coast, with its magnificent castles and golden beaches. If time and tide allows, there may even be the chance to ride the causeway road to Holy Island. Finally turning westwards, we enter Scotland, riding through the lovely Tweed Valley to our next destination in Dumfries and Galloway.  Here we will stay for 2 nights; your accommodation is a 3 star hotel set in beautiful grounds, in the town of Dumfries.  Once again, full regional breakfasts and evening meals are included.

Day 3: Wednesday 1st August A free day today, however for those that wish, there will be a tour of the area.  Our destination will be decided on the day, however the Forests and coastline of Galloway & Dumfries offer some great roads and surprising scenery.

Day 4: Thursday 2nd August  Leaving Galloway and Dumfries behind, we take a “White Rose Route” through the beautiful Scottish Borders, before arriving at our second base, a 3 star hotel situated between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Here we will stay for 3 nights, giving us two full days to tour.

Day 5: Friday 3rd August  Once again, for those that wish, we offer you a full day’s guided tour.  With the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and Northern Pennines all within easy distance, we are spoilt for choice.

Day 6: Saturday 4th August  Today will be similar to yesterday’s format, providing further opportunity to admire the beautiful scenery and ride some great roads. During your stay, you are, of course, welcome to take a day off and explore on your own - your guide will be able to advise you on things to see and do in the area.

Day 7: Sunday 5th August   The tour finishes after breakfast, after which, we bid our farewells and return home.
